One-sentence summary

Custom dance-drama production of stories about the life of Paul.

Description

Komposo is a dance-drama performed at fiestas in the Philippines. It is an example of communicating New Testament stories in the local traditional media.

Considerations

  • Make it an event worth attending
  • Use local means to promote the event (word of mouth, vehicle mounted loudspeakers, radio, television, flyers, etc.)
  • Encourage local ownership by allowing it as much as possible to be directed and organized locally.
  • Plan for, gather, and/or build appropriate props, stage setting, etc.
  • Consider multiple performances (in various villages, if repetition is appropriate, etc.)
  • Consider video recording performance (See guideline on recording presentation).
  • Consider the need for a story teller as part of the play.
