Description

This is a revised edition of an earlier VOM book. It is a Kids of Courage activity book. The book helps children understand the needs of believers in Jesus who live in India. Children are taught to pray for Indian believers who suffer rejection and persecution because of their beliefs.

This colorful activity book looks at conditions in each of India's twenty-eight states as well as its seven union territories. Contents of the book include the following subjects:

Considerations

• This book will be most useful for children who can read and write.
• Best for children ages 9-14 years.
• The book has sisty pages with many colored photos which add interest to the book.
• A full page map of India showing its states is included, Also included for each state is a smaller map of India with that state highlighted in color.
• In the stories and activities some of the names have been changed to protect the people involved.
• Most of the Bible verses are from the New King James Version of the Bible.
• Permission has been given to reproduce the materials in the book for home or classroom use. The exception is material already reproduced, adapted or used with permission.

Limitations

• Many of the photos show only part of the people or scenes. This will need to be explained to children who are not picture literate.
• Some of the activities suggested may not be usable in every language where supplies or certain foods are not available.
• Some of the activities assume children can read and write.

Guidelines for Use

• Use as a suppliment to prayer and geography curriculum in schools and Sunday Schools.
• Stories in the book could be adapted and used as radio or TV programs since many countries have access to these items of technology.
