Description

Children can change the world through prayer! Information for this handbook was provided by an international community of believers. Some of them come from least-reached people groups. They are from every area of our world. In 2006, a global group met to learn about people groups that do not have a Bible. They wanted this information so that believers could pray for them. Then they could minister to these forgotten people groups.

This handbook is a guidebook. It helps young people learn to pray in their own language. They learn to share the good news of Jesus with their own people. More than 100 pages show different areas of the world. Prayer ideas are given for each area. Information, maps, and pictures are given for each area. Bible references are included.

Following the information for each area, two pages give prayer ideas. This includes the following:

• Adoration
• Confession
• Thanksgiving
• Supplication
• Praying for friends and family
• Praying for my church and my city
• Praying for those who do not know you in my own country
• Praying for those who do not know you in other countries

Considerations

• Use with children (ages 8 - 15) who believe in Jesus.
• This is a good way to learn about world geography and cultures.
• A good way for children to learn to pray for themselves, their country, and the world.
• The pictures show different style homes, clothing, and ethnic features.

Limitations

• The maps only focus on the region and this will need to be explained to some children.
• The maps are not drawn to scale and may confuse some children. They might think that the countries or islands are closer than they are.

Guidelines for Use

• Use in Sunday schools, Christian schools, and Bible clubs.
• Translate and record on audio cassette or CD.
• Translate and record for your own needs.
• Use on Christian radio. Listeners will learn about the world and prayer needs.
